The Big Pedal
Thank you to everyone who either rode their bike or scooter to school or who encouraged others to participate in the Big Pedal competition held last term.

After looking at all the data, our highest position was on day 3 when we were 162nd, but our best percentage was on day 9 with 35.46%. That means that about a third of you came to school that day on a bike or scooter.

1,693 schools were registered as taking part in the competition. Our final position, after 10 days of competition, was 271st out of 963 large primary schools. We came 33rd in the South East area and 1st place in Kent.

Certificates were given to the winning classes –one for Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

In 3rd place overall and winners of Key Stage 2 was Otter with 182 journeys.

In 2nd place overall and winners of Foundation Stage was Dolphin with 214 journeys.

And in first place overall and winners of Key Stage 1 was Ladybird with 249 journeys.

Thank you for taking part and we hope you continue to ride or scoot to school.
