Our Geography curriculum inspires pupils with a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Through real life and relevant geographical enquiry, the children’s knowledge and understanding of places in the world, physical processes and environmental changes are developed through cohesively planned activities. Our children develop and use successful strategies to apply skills, question geographical patterns and critically evaluate their effects.

Our school grounds and surrounding areas have a wealth of interesting sites for us to learn from and therefore we effectively incorporate these into our curriculum enriching and enhancing the first hand experiences the children have.

The residential trips which take place in Year 5 and Year 6 are used to reinforce the knowledge, understanding and skills taught throughout their school lives. Furthermore these trips not only exceptionally improve academic achievement but also their well-being and their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
