History
Our curriculum is designed to inspire pupils’ curiosity about the past. Through engaging learning experiences, children are able to develop their enthusiasm for the subject. These experiences include drama, ‘living history’ days and trips in the local area.
Pupils will gain the skills required to ask questions, gather evidence from primary and secondary sources, and use this to form balanced judgements. Pupils will develop these skills to improve their understanding of Britain’s past.
Pupils will study the history of the world and how different civilisations and cultures have impacted each other over time. Through understanding this, as well as the process of change, pupils will improve their understanding of their own identity and the challenges of their time.
